Quick start with Nano Banana

Welcome to Nano Banana. This guide walks you through the essentials so you can go from zero to your first generated image without friction.

Open the app

Use the official web app to access the image tools directly in your browser—no Discord or desktop client required.

Create an account

  1. Open the link above and choose Sign up (or Log in if you already have an account).
  2. Complete email or provider sign-in and verify if prompted.
  3. You land on the Generate workspace with the prompt box front and center.

Write your first prompt

  1. Describe the scene in plain language: subject, style, lighting, and aspect ratio if you care.
  2. Keep important constraints in the same sentence (e.g. “flat vector logo, white background, no text”).
  3. Tap Generate and review the grid of results.

Tips for better results

  • Be specific about materials and camera (e.g. “35mm photo”, “soft studio light”).
  • Iterate: small edits to the prompt often beat one giant paragraph.
  • Text in images: say exactly what the text should read if you need lettering.
